TierPoint, a national provider of colocation, cloud, data management and disaster recovery solutions, has announced the completion of its new, state-of-the-art a data center facility located in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania.
Increasing TierPoint's available space by close to 150%, the multi-million dollar expansion project adds a little under 17,000 sq. ft. of high-density data storage space to the 125,000 sq. ft. facility. The project provides clients with an enhanced cloud computing infrastructure as well as expanded power and cooling capabilities. The expansion enhances TierPoint’s ability to offer data management services, disaster recovery, cloud, and data protection offerings in the PA market. With security on site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, in addition to technical and engineering support, the expanded facility provides a secure, reliable, and robust data infrastructure environment to support its client’s specific and constantly evolving technology requirements.
“This is the second expansion for Valley Forge in the past 18-months – its fifth expansion since its inception in 2005,” says Bob Hicks, TierPoint Senior General Manager and Vice President. “We’re fortunate and very proud to have experienced over a decade of continuous growth, serving many of our original customers in this facility today. This project has really been driven by our existing customer base and is in direct response to growing market demand, especially in this region. In the face of massive data growth, increased security threats, compliance concerns and tighter budgets, TierPoint’s mission-critical facilities, network and support services have become the foundation upon which our clients can build their own businesses. It’s a level of stability, commitment, and responsibility we don’t take lightly.”
TierPoint Valley Forge is HIPAA compliant as well as PCI-Cloud, PCI-DSS, Safe Harbour, GLBA, and SSAE 16 SOC II certified (FedRAMP certification is also scheduled to be completed) and features dual factor, biometrical access control with 24-hour onsite security; N+1 power and cooling configuration; independent AB power distribution from the UPS to data center floor; N+1 backup generators; and carrier neutrality with diverse fiber points of entry. Comprehensive solutions delivered from the facility include colocation, public and private cloud, data management network solutions (such as security and DDoS options), data backups, and workgroup and business continuity recovery solutions.
